Balancing issues

Last night I missed our raid on the Sanctum. It's very uncharacteristic for me to do, but this last week was a time where my wife has really needed me. To give everyone a brief update here's what is happening:
  • Her only aunt on her Dad's side of the family had a stroke early last week and had to be readmitted to Intensive Care on Sunday (just when we thought she might be out of the woods).
  • Her cousin's 24 year old son in Lubbock rolled his vehicle Friday and has been diagnosed as a quadrapelgic.
  • And a lady that my wife cared for almost 10 years died on January 1st. While Carmen wasn't related to us, Kim was real close to her. Carmen was truly a unique individual and was an early member of the Rockettes. Here's a link to the article about her in the St. Louis Post http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stories.nsf/deathsobituaries/story/7D3666F0DE17A19E86257534000C9E6D?OpenDocument

So with all that, it is up to me her husband to be her support during this time. She needs some emotionally stability and after 14 years of marriage to her, she knows that I am there to listen, to talk and to pray with her. Being there for each other is what is required of spouses when things get rough. The Obsidium Sanctum will still be there next week.
